2018 Entry
‘A Lie Shrouded in Truth’ is a short film that I made for this competition. It includes what I feel is the most untrustworthy thing on the internet at the moment; Manipulated Content. I give a brief description of why I feel this is the biggest issue. And what we can do to help minimalize it on the web.
If we all work together we can make sure that false media is no longer spread on the internet. In an information age, the truth is what should be valued among all things online.

Great video Robert. Having the skills to establish the provenance of online information is one of the biggest challenges since we started to have options beyond printed resources. It used to take some skill and effort to find printed information but once you had the chances were that someone had been responsible for fact checking and editing. Now there is almost no effort required to find whatever you want but figuring out whether it is good or bad has become much harder. A healthy sense of scepticism has never been more valuable!
